DuBois Woman Killed in Huston Twp. Accident

HUSTON TOWNSHIP – A 42-year-old DuBois woman, Tammi L. Markievich, was killed in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township, reported the state police at DuBois.

Markievich was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. She subsequently lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole. Her vehicle then traveled over a small embankment, causing it to overturn.

The Markievich vehicle overturned nine times before coming to a final rest in a field west of the Bennetts Valley Highway. Markievich was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Clearfield County Deputy Coroner.

Markievich was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
