Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – After L’Wren Scott’s shocking death, her bereaved boyfriend, Rolling Stones lead vocalist Mick Jagger has spoken out on Tuesday in an emotional tribute.
Jagger posted a black and white photo of a smiling Scott on his official website and Facebook timeline and wrote, “I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.”
“We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves,” he added. “She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.”
“I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received,” Jagger continued.
The 70-year-old rocker ended his message writing, “I will never forget her.” Jagger and Scott have started dating in 2001.
Scott, who was a fashion designer and stylist to A-list stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman and Olivia Wilde, was found dead on Monday morning in her apartment in Manhattan.
Though authorities presume that the 49-year-old former model has died of apparent suicide, an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones have cancelled their upcoming concerts in Australia in line with Scott’s passing.
