Shaw identified the fugitive as Edward Matthew Schmidt Jr., 33, of Patton Street, Clearfield. Schmidt is wanted for failure to appear at plea and sentencing court on Feb. 25.
On Sept. 26, 2013, Patrolman Elliot Neeper of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Schmidt. He charged Schmidt with theft of leased property and receiving stolen property.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Sept. 11, 2013, police received a report about the theft of leased property from a business located on Daisy Street, Clearfield.
