New York, NY, United States (4E) – Over four years after her passing, Brittany Murphy’s last film project “Something Wicked” is all set to be released on April 4 in Eugene Ore.

Talking about the film’s post production process, writer and producer Joe Colleran told the New York Daily News, “The first months of reviewing the footage and starting to put things together and then seeing her and hearing her voice, it’s very emotional.”

“It is an additional responsibility, you do want her performance to be the best it can be, because unfortunately it’s her last performance,” he said. “It has been an extremely protracted process, but here we are.”

The film’s release and distribution has been in talks since August last year, according to the film’s official Facebook page. Its filming was wrapped a few months before Murphy, then 32, passed away due to pneumonia and severe anemia in December 2009.

“Something Wicked,” is an R-rated thriller directed by Darin Scott and tells about a young couple whose life becomes threatened by dark secrets from the past. Aside from Murphy, the R-rated film also stars Shantel Van Santen, John Robinson and Julian Morris.
