Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – “Seinfeld” star Wayne Knight has taken to Twitter to announce that he is alive after reports of his death circulated on several websites Sunday.

The 58-year-old star wrote, “Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed, but….I am alive and well!” He added, “Does someone have to DIE to trend? Geez! Thanks for all the love everybody. I didn’t know you cared. Glad to be breathing!”

Multiple reports accounted over the weekend that Knight’s life was claimed due to blunt force trauma caused by a fatal car crash along with two other passengers on Saturday night.

The “news” came from several sites such as TMZ Today, a fake Us Weekly site and eBuzzd, which also stated that the accident happened near the state border of Pennsylvania-New York.

Meanwhile, the “Jurassic Park” actor seems to be in good spirits as he wrote to his 14.1 thousand followers on Twitter on Monday, “In spite of being declared dead yesterday and woken to an earthquake, I’m having a glorious St. Patrick’s Day with my family! Erin Go Bragh!”
