Atlanta, GA, United States (4E Sports) – Scottie Wilbekin and Michael Frazier II scored 15 each as the Florida Gators routed Missouri Tigers, 72-49 Friday at Georgia Dome.
The quarterfinals win in the SEC tournament gave the Gators their 24th consecutive victory and a likely No. 1 seed in the NCAAs.
Wilbekin finished 5 of 6 beyond the arc and Frazier was 5 of 7 as Florida (30-2) went 12-of-21 from 3-point range, making their final five attempts.
Their swarming defense also forced 14 turnovers, leading to 19 points.
Missouri (22-11) ended the first half with a 6-0 run capped by Ryan Rosburg’s buzzer-beating dunk to tie the game at 29.
They were just behind by two at 38-36 approaching the midway point of the second half when Florida had a 12-0 run that stretched the lead to 50-36 with 7:00 remaining.
Florida outscored Missouri 22-13 the rest of the game with Frazier hitting two 3-pointers.
Jabari Brown scored 18 points to lead Missouri.
