CBS renews 18 more series for next season

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – After confirming the renewal of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Survivor,” CBS has announced Thursday that it will renew 18 more of its shows as preparation for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.

Nina Tassler, chairman of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement, “The best way to launch new shows in the fall and throughout the season is to surround them with a strong and stable lineup of successful series. The shows we’re picking up today cut across every night of the week and feature genre leaders, time period winners and the most-watched shows on broadcast television.”

Aside from “The Big Bang Theory,” which has recently been renewed for three seasons, and “Survivor,” which was renewed for two more, the following CBS shows have been renewed for one more season.

1. “Blue Bloods”

2. “Criminal Minds”

3. “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”

4. “Elementary”

5. “Hawaii Five-O”

6. “NCIS”

7. “NCIS: Los Angeles”

8. “Person of Interest”

9. “The Good Wife”

10. “The Millers”

11. “Mom”

12. “2 Broke Girls”

13. “Two and a Half Men”

14. “Mike & Molly”

15. “The Amazing Race”

16. “Undercover Boss”

17. “60 Minutes”

18. “48 Hours”

Meanwhile, “Hostages,” “Intelligence,” “The Mentalist” and “The Crazy Ones” are yet to be decided upon.
