Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Four months after the death of lead actor Paul Walker, Fast and Furious 7 will resume production on March 31, Universal Pictures confirmed Tuesday.

The filming, which will be held in Atlanta, was put to a halt after Walker’s life was claimed in a car accident last November 30. His character Brian O’Conner will be in the film, as Walker was able to shoot several scenes, though it is not known how his passing will be handled.

Also on Tuesday, co-star Vin Diesel also talked about the difference of this installment’s difference among the previous ones. He wrote, “The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one… only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series.”

He added, “P.s. The long awaited completion of Seven, begins…”

Meanwhile, on Sunday, in an online Q&A with fans, Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez was asked what makes the whole franchise “so magical and entertaining.”

The actress, who plays Letty Ortiz in the films, replied, “I feel that the success of the Fast and Furious franchise has a lot to do with Globalization, (it’s multi-cultural cast) , it’s timing…and a rare innovative story telling style that took a new look at street racing, latino, black, asian & caucasian camaraderie and exposed the melting pot which is the new world.

She also said that the cast’s chemistry and creativity are top reasons why they have such a loyal fan base and multicultural audience. “The fast Franchise is an underdog Giant in Hollywood and I hope it paves a road for many Multicultural big [budget], quality productions in the future,” she added.

“Fast & Furious 7″ is set for release in theaters on April 10, 2015.
