San Francisco, CA, United States (4E) – With Samsung launching its flagship Galaxy S5 a few weeks ago, Apple is planning a proper response. According to rumors from Japanese website Mac Otakara, the Cupertino-based company is planning to release an iPhone with either a 4.7-inch or 5.7-inch display screen — Apple could even release both versions.
Other media outlets also reported that Apple was looking at both screen size options for the iPhone. Mac Otakara added that the new iPhone could be very similar to the iPhone 5c’s design — rounded edges, speaker hole designs, and buttons. Consumers can also expect Apple to take a little inspiration from the seventh-generation iPod nano.
The rumored 4.7-inch iPhone will measure 14×7 cm and the 5.7-inch will be 16×8 cm. Both models will have a protruding rear camera like the latest iPods. To smoothen out the camera, the iPhone could be 7.5 mm thick.
These aren’t the only rumors circulating about the next iPhone. Earlier reports have stated the next iPhone will have a bezel-free display and 10-megapixel camera. Another report has the next iPhone designed with a 5.6-inch screen display.
Mac Otakara correctly predicted the designs for the fifth-generation iPod touch and latest iPod nano.
