Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Following her “naked” stint on Saturday Night Live, Lena Dunahm has apologized on Sunday for making a sexual molestation-related joke on Twitter.

Referring to her SNL skit, a Twitter user advised Dunham, “you don’t have to get naked all the time,” to which the 27-year-old actress replied, “Please tell that to my uncle, mister. He’s been making me!”

Dunham deleted the tweet shortly after, she posted, “I just made and deleted a not so great molestation joke. Sorry guys. I am really sleepy.”

Many criticized the “Girls” star of “trivializing” sexual molestation by way of her joke.

Realizing what went wrong, she followed it up with, “SNL has a way bigger audience than our usual cozy girls audience, so I was seeing a rash of very different kinds of twitter rage. But I should know better, and do. Even naked girls get embarrassed. Sleep well and thanks for an amazing weekend.”

Meanwhile, fellow actress Mindy Kaling defended the two-time Golden Globe awardee from bashers telling her, “you’re perfect, f**k ‘em.”
