UNIVERSITY PARK – Students making a difference were highly visible over the weekend as 540 students volunteered more than 1,000 hours with 31 agencies as part of the State Day of Service, which ran from Friday through Sunday.

The event represented the fourth year that students in the Council of LionHearts coordinated an alternative to the student-created drinking holiday known as State Patty’s Day.
