College Station, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Linebacker Darian Claiborne and defensive tackle Isaiah Golden did not join Texas A&M in practice Friday as they serve indefinite suspensions following arrests on separate charges Sunday.

Texas A&M athletic department spokesman Alan Cannon said Monday that both sophomores were immediately suspended from all athletic activities per department policy.

There is no timeline when they will return to practice, according to Coach Kevin Sumlin.

“Pending investigation and everything else, they’re suspended indefinitely,” Sumlin said.

Golden, 19, faces a marijuana possession charge of less than two ounces while Claiborne was charged with a noise violation.

Both were in a car parked in a handicap spot at an apartment complex at the time of their arrests.

It was the second arrest in three months for Claiborne, who was charged with marijuana possession in December and suspended for the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
