PLEASANT GAP – Residents of The Village at Penn State visited HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital on Feb. 20.

The group heard a presentation about making informed health care choices, in conjunction with National Wise Health Care Consumer Month.

February is also Heart Month, and HealthSouth Registered Dietitian Caryll DeFrate (standing, second from right) shared heart-healthy tips and information about HealthSouth’s Heart Failure Program.

DeFrate will lead a Nutrition Education Series at HealthSouth in Pleasant Gap, beginning March 27 at 9 a.m.

The free classes are monthly, open to the public and include a light breakfast.  For more information, call 814-359-5607.
