Sochi, Russian Federation (4E Sports) – Freestyler Jean-Frederic Chapuis led France to a medal sweep of the men’s ski cross event of the Sochi Winter Olympics at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

In the final, the French skiers, who were considered to be the favorites in this discipline, surpassed Canadian athlete Brady Leman, who by the end of the race left without a medal.

Russian skier Egor Korotkov won the small finals, finishing fifth in the final rankings while Filip Flisar of Slovenia placed sixth.

The top 10 finishers were Armin Niederer of Switzerland, Florian Eigler of Germany, Victor Ohling-Norberg of Sweden and Jonas Devouassoux of France.
