Tina Maze rules giant slalom event for second gold

Sochi, Russian Federation (4E Sports) – Slovenian skier Tina Maze won her second gold medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics, after dominating the giant slalom event Tuesday.

Capitalizing on the good weather condition, Maze recorded a combined two minutes and 36.87 seconds for her two runs (1.17.88 and 1.18.99) to win the gold.

Austrian Anna Fenninger came second, with a result of two minutes and 36.94 seconds (1.18.73 + 1.18.21), and Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany won bronze with a time of two minutes and 37.14 seconds (1.1.24 + 1.17.90).

Earlier, Maze won her first gold medal in the downhill event.
