Philadelphia, PA, United States (4E Sports) – Montrezl Harrell scored 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had four blocks as the No. 13 Louisville routed Temple, 82-58, Friday at Liacouras Center.
Russ Smith added 15 points, Wayne Blackshear finished with 13 points and Luke Hancock scored 11 for Louisville (20-4, 9-2 American Athletic Conference), who shot over 60 percent in the first half.
Harrell scored eight in a 10-0 run as Louisville took a 15-4 lead early in the first.
A 17-2 blast by Louisville, this time powered by six points each from Chris Jones and Hancock, gave the Cards a 47-20 lead with 2:42 left in the first half.
Leading 54-31 with 17:09 left, Louisville outscored Temple, 22-9, with Blackshear scoring eight and Harrell adding seven.
That run gave Louisville its biggest lead in the game at 73-40.
Temple was able to whittle down the lead after Lousville fielded its bench players.
Anthony Lee and Will Cummings led Temple (6-17, 1-10) with 14 points apiece.
