Chicago, IL, United States (NewsBahn) – Former Mayor Richard M. Daley is reportedly at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and will remain there through midweek after suffering possible stroke-like symptoms Friday while on a business trip to Arizona.

An ambulance met Daley later that day after his return flight to Chicago and took him to the hospital.

Daley family spokesman Rick Jasculca didn’t add much to the Chicago Sun-Times report that cited the ex-mayor’s possible ailment.

“It could be, but I don’t want to confirm things I don’t personally know as fact,” he told the paper.

Daley has had health scares in the past, including suffering chest pains in April 2000 and fainting in March 2002 while at Rosebud steakhouse.
