Los Angeles, CA, United States (NewsBahn) – A convalescent home employee and a patient avoided injury when the former backed his vehicle into the facility late Sunday.
Extrication by Los Angeles firefighters with heavy rescue equipment was necessary to rescue the pair, but the driver wasn’t arrested in the incident as police ruled it an accident.
“A sedan backed through a wall and window and became fully embedded into one room of the convalescent home, over a portion of a bed,” LAFD spokesman Erik Scott said, according to the L.A. Daily News.
Police officials said the incident took place at the Country Villa South Convalescent Center at 3515 Overland Avenue.
Police released no names from the incident, as well.
