Portland, OR, United States (4E Sports) – LaMarcus Aldridge had 27 points and 15 rebounds to lift the Portland Trail Blazers over the Toronto Raptors 106-103 Saturday at Moda Center.
Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews each contributed 21 points while Nicolas Batum added 18 for the Blazers.
Aldridge had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the first quarter as the Blazers took a 31-19 lead.
The Raptors had a 10-2 run midway through the second quarter to cut the deficit to 43-34.
But the Blazers outscored the Raptors 14-6 the rest of the quarter to pad their lead to 57-40 at halftime.
Portland led 69-50 early in the third quarter and by as many as 16 points during the fourth.
DeMar DeRozan fueled a Raptors rally, scoring 14 in the fourth, including seven points during a 16-2 run for a 103-102 lead.
Lillard hit two free throws to regain the lead for the Blazers and Matthews forced DeRozan into a turnover to seal the win.
DeRozan finished with 36 points and 12 assists as Kyle Lowry added 23 points for the Raptors.
