Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Power couple Jay Z and Beyonce wowed the crowd during Sunday’s 56th Grammy Awards with their sizzling live performance of their latest team effort, “Drunk In Love,” and afterwards the rapper made a special shout out to their daughter Blue Ivy as he accepted Grammy trophy.

A sultry Beyonce appeared on the dark stage first, sand and danced sexily using a black chair as a prop, while smoke swirled and spotlights flickered all around. The 32-year-old singer wore her chin-length hair wet, and, according to Billboard, donned sheer black Yves Saint Laurent tights, a custom bra, La Perla collar, Nichole de Carle bodysuit, Stuart Weitzman heels and Jennifer Fisher earrings.

Husband Jay Z, who donned a dark tuxedo, then appeared on the stage for his guest rap part, which he performed mostly a hair-breadth away from Beyonce, complete with a short slow dance by the duo.

Jay Z, who gathered nine Grammy nominations this year, stepped back on the stage later that night to accept his award for best rap/sung collaboration for “Holy Grail,” which he work on with fellow musician Justin Timberlake.

In his acceptance speech, Jay Z, 44, said, “Thank you very much. I thank all the producers and Dream for writing the song, and Justin, and all the typical things. I want to thank God a little bit for this award, but mostly for that and all the universe for conspiring and putting that beautiful light of a young lady in my life.”

He then added, “I want to tell Blue, ‘Look, daddy got a gold sippy cup for you,’” which sent the crown in a fit of amusement.

Meanwhile, this was the first time that the couple performed their newest hit together, live. The single is part of Beyonce’s fifth self-titled album, which was quietly released in December on iTunes without prior promotion of any sort.
