Duke rips Florida State for Mike Krzyzewski’s 900th win

Durham, NC, United States (4E Sports) – Mike Krzyzewski registered his 900th win with the Duke Blue Devils in their a 78-56 thrashing of Florida State Seminoles Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

He joins Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim as the only coaches in NCAA history with 900 wins at one school.

The all-time leader in career victories in men’s Division I, Krzyzewski also boosted his total to 973.

No. 18 Duke (16-4, 5-2 ACC) were led to its fourth win in a row by Rodney Hood’s 18 points and nine rebounds and Jabari Parker’s 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Duke used an 11-0 spurt late in the first half to build a 20-point lead on Florida State (13-6, 4-3).

But they went nearly 7 1/2 minutes without a basket in the second half as Florida State closed in at 65-54 with 6:44 left.

Sulaimon and Parker contributed two free throws each as Quinn Cook ended their field goal drought with a driving basket with 3:25 left to make it 71-54.

Duke had a 47-24 rebounding advantage, including 27-7 on the offensive glass.

Their home winning streak now stands at 28 games, the best in the country.

Okaro White scored 14 points to lead Florida State (14-5, 4-3), which has lost two of its last three.
