Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Anderson Varejao scored 16 as Tristan Thomnpson contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Cleveland Cavaliers in giving the Milwaukee Bucks a 93-78 whipping Friday at Quicken Loans Arena.
Kyrie Irving contributed 10 points and 10 assists while Dion Waiters added 13 points for the Cavs.
The Cavs had a 17-0 run to take a 23-11 lead, but Khris Middleton’s 3-pointer ignited a 12-1 run for the Bucks as they cut the lead to 24-23 at the end of the first quarter.
Waiters scored 10 and Earl Clark added 5 points in leading the Cavs’ second quarter offense to take a 46-37 lead at halftime.
Protecting a 54-44 advantage with 8:44 left in the third, the Cavs had a 12-2 run with Varejao scoring eight and Tristan Thompson adding as they push their lead to 64-46 late in the quarter.
Jarett Jack sizzled early in the fourth with nine points, including a 3-pointer, as the Cavs posted a commanding 89-63 lead.
Middleton topscored for the Bucks with 13 points.
The Bucks (8-34) have the worst record in the league and have lost 10 of 11.
