Portland, OR, United States (4E Sports) – LaMarcus Aldridge had a 44-point outburst topped by 13 rebounds to power the Portland Trail Blazers on a 110-105 come-from-behind win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday at Moda Center.
Wesley Matthews added 24 points for the Blazers.
Nate Robinson scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Nuggets’ 17-6 run early in the second quarter as they took a 51-39 advantage.
The Blazers answered with a 9-0 run to make it 51-48.
But the Nuggets held on to 67-59 lead at the half.
Randy Foye hit three 3-pointers early in the third quarter in an 11-4 run as the Nuggets took a 78-63 lead.
But Aldridge scored 15 points in the last 8:49 of the third to lead a Blazers rally and reduce the Nuggets lead to 91-86 heading to the fourth.
The Blazers were trailing 97-95 with 6:33 remaining when Aldridge took charge again and scored his team’s final 15 points to grab the win.
Wilson Chandler finished with 18 points to lead the Nuggets.
