Miami, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Chris Bosh scored 31 and LeBron James added 27 points and 13 rebounds as the Miami Heat led all the way in a 109-102 win Thursday over the Los Angeles Lakers at American Airlines Arena.
The Heat, which led 57-46 at halftime, took a 16 point lead following a jumper by Bosh and a 3-pointer by Shane Battier early in the third.
Back-to-back baskets by Jordan Hill and Nick Young allowed the Lakers to close in to a single-digit deficit briefly at 79-71.
A three-point play from Gasol with 10:47 left got the Lakers within 85-78.
Young’s 3-pointer with 4:09 left, cut the Heat’s lead to 98-94.
But Ray Allen, James and Bosh answered back baskets by Hill, Jodie Meeks and Kendall Marshall to quell the rally.
Jodie Meeks and Pau Gasol each scored 22 points while Nick Young added 19 points for the Lakers.
