Chance of snow at Super Bowl forecasted at just 30 percent

East Rutherford, NJ, United States (4E Sports) – Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks will probably push through Feb. 2 with just a 30 per cent chance of snow at MetLife Stadium at said date.

The weather forecast by weather.com also noted that East Rutherford, N.J. will have a high temperature of 35 degrees and a low of 25 on Feb. 2.

NFL officials have said they could change the time or day of the game in the case of a severe snowstorm.

The current kickoff time is 6:25 p.m. ET.

Eric Grubman, a league vice president, said it would require 24 hours to move the game time and 36 hours to switch days.

He offered no details of what would happen if heavy snow hit on Super Bowl Sunday.
