State Police Investigate Copper Wire Theft

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP – The Clearfield-based state police have initiated an investigation into the theft of copper wire along Kirk Street in Ferguson Township.

During the incident, the suspect(s) cut several thousand feet of copper wire from United Electric Cooperative Inc.’s utility poles sometime within the past several months. The suspect(s), state police said, possibly used a small vehicle to access the utility poles and to carry the stolen wire.
