New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – The NFL Network has suspended analyst Darren Sharper after he was charged with suspicion of rape.

“Darren has been suspended without pay until further notice, effective immediately,” NFL Network said in a statement. “Regarding the charges, as a matter of policy, we don’t comment on pending legal action.”

Sharper spent 14 years as a safety with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints before he joined NFL Network as an analyst. He was a five-time Pro-Bowler and won a Super Bowl ring with the Saints in 2010.

According to celebrity website TMZ, Sharper is being investigated for allegedly raping two different women on two different nights.

The two accusers claim that Sharper abused them in Los Angeles hotel rooms in October 2013 and the other in January 2014. Sharper posted a $200,000 bond for his temporary liberty.
