London, England, United Kingdom (4E Sports) – Andray Blatche had 20 points and 14 rebounds and Joe Johnson scored 26 to lift the Brooklyn Nets over the Atlanta Hawks 127-110 Thursday at the O2 Arena.
A Johnson 3-pointer at the end of the second period gave the Nets a 65-53 advantage.
The Nets started the third period with an 11-2 run to bury the Hawks 76-55.
The Hawks answered with a 9-0 blast ignited by Pero Attic’s 3-pointer to close in at 76-64 with 5:47 left in the third.
But the Nets outscored the Hawks 21-8 the rest of the period behind three 3-pointers by Alan Anderson and one each by Paul Pierce, Mirza Teletovic and Johnson to take a commanding 99-74 lead entering the fourth.
The Nets did not let up and gave the Hawks another 12-0 beating with Teletovic hitting two 3-pointers and Blatche scoring six points for an insurmountable 101-74 lead.
Mike Scott and Shelvin Mack both came off the bench to lead the Hawks with 17 points each.
It was the fourth regular-season NBA game to be played in London.
