Quarterback Luke Del Rio leaving Alabama to join Oregon State

Tuscaloosa, AL, United States (4E Sports) – Freshman quarterback Luke Del Rio intends to leave the Alabama Crimson Tide and is strongly considering joining the Oregon State Beavers.

Del Rio was poised to replace AJ McCarron as starting quarterback at Alabama before he took to Twitter to announce his intention to leave the program.

Luke’s father, Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, has a close relationship with Oregon State coach Mike Riley.

Del Rio was recruited out of high school and offered scholarships by Oregon State along with Oklahoma State and UCLA but decided to join Alabama.
