Vancouver, BC, Canada (4E Sports) – The St. Louis Blues have extended forward Ryan Reaves with a four-year deal for $4.45 million.
Reaves, 26, is in his fourth and final season with the Blues where he gets $600,000 and could have become an unrestricted free agent.
The 6-foot-1, 224-pound winger played 26 games with the Blues last season when he had two goals, three assists and 65 minutes in penalties.
He has a total of 11 goals, eight assists and 346 penalty minutes in 157 NHL games.
Reaves was still raw when he got selected in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL entry draft by the Blues.
He eventually spent spent three seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League and played parts of four more with Peoria of the American Hockey League.
