CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) recently received a donation from the Clearfield County Assistance Office Social Committee for the Clearfield Food Pantry.
The CCAO’s Social Committee donated eight boxes of food and more than $1,000 to the Clearfield County Food Pantries. This donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to supplement local food pantries.
Local food pantries are facing the largest shortages. It will also be used to purchase items that will be given to area recipients. CPCA has operated 10 food pantries, located in Clearfield County, for more than 30 years. In addition, more than 6,300 Clearfield County residents benefited from food pantry services in the past year.
The CPCA’s primary services includes housing services, weatherization, rental housing, case management, food services, heating and utility assistance, employment assistance and training, consumer information and referral and transportation services. CPCA’s mission is “strengthening our communities by helping families and individuals in Centre and Clearfield counties to become self-sufficient”.
