Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Their short-lived feud is now over, but Alyssa Milano has expressed Tuesday that she was “hurt” and “affected” by Jay Mohr’s recent comments about her post-baby weight.

In a conversation with Mario Lopez on Extra, the 41-year-old actress said, “Well, he made a comment that was not so nice about my weight and I called him out on Twitter about it… I just think he was trying to make a joke and not think about it, but I heard it actually on Christmas Day and it hurt me, I was affected by it and I wanted to remind him that I’m a human being and that this hurts.”

In one of his podcasts, which has since been edited, Mohr, a comedian, supposedly quipped, “It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s***’ … I read it on her gut.”

Milano called his attention on Twitter on Christmas day, saying, “So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife.”

Shortly after the incident made waves in the media, Mohr wrote a public apology on his blog saying that he “will not make excuses” for what he said, and that he was “embarrassed that he didn’t think before he spoke.”

He added, “Alyssa is a mother, a wife, an actress, and a class act that should always be celebrated. Sometimes comedians go too far. I went too far. I cannot change what I said, but I can assure you that my heart is broken that I hurt her. I am very sorry.”

While the gracious “Supernatural” actress has since accepted Mohr’s apology, Milano told Lopez that what happened goes beyond mere fat shaming a celebrity. She said, “I think it’s an interesting statement about where we are socially that people feel that they can sort of rip a woman’s body apart after having a baby.”

“I think we’ve plastered these celebrities on tabloids about how much weight they gained during their pregnancy and how quickly they lose it afterwards and so it’s sort of, unfortunately, everyone’s fair game and I don’t’ think it’s fair.”

The “Project Runway All stars” host has given birth to son Milo in August 2011. She said she has gained 55 lbs. when she was pregnant and she is still has to lose 10 more pounds to return to her pre-baby weight.
