Seattle, WA, United States (4E Sports) – Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been fined $50,000 by the NFL for not speaking to the media throughout the season until Friday, when he briefly met with and spoke to reporters.

The NFL requires players to speak to the media and until this past week had been unaware that Lynch had avoided his obligation all season.

Lynch answered six questions and lasted just one minute and 23 seconds. Two of his responses failed to exceed one sentence in length.

He said that the season has ‘gone pretty well’ and that he likes the Seahawks’ chances in the postseason. He added that a bye week will refresh his body for the divisional-round game against the New Orleans Saints.

Lynch led Seattle with 1,257 rushing yards in his seventh season. He added a career-high 316 receiving yards with 12 rushing touchdowns and two through the air.
