Washington DC, MD, United States (4E Sports) – Kyle Lowry had 17 points and 11 assists while DeMar DeRozan scored 20 to lead the Toronto Raptors in a 101-88 win over the Washington Wizards Friday at Verizon Center.

Patrick Patterson finished with 18 points.

A 3-pointer by Trevor Ariza with 40 seconds left in the second quarter finally allowed the Wizards to catch up at 45-all after trailing throughout the early part of the game.

But back-to-back 3-pointers by Terrence Rosss and a filed goal each by Jonas Valanciunas and DeRozan gave the Raptors a 63-49 lead.

Patterson scored Toronto’s last 11 points of the third quarter as the Raptors outscored the Wizards 36-16 to blow open the game with an 84-61 lead to start the fourth quarter.

“We didn’t have enough space tonight. You couldn’t penetrate if you wanted to. You couldn’t get open shots,” lamented Wizards star John Wall.

Forward Trevor Booker had eight points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two assists while Nene Hilario scored 15 to lead the Wizards.
