Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Former Disney star Christy Carlson Romano has tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Brendan Rooney on Tuesday at the Fairmont Banff spring in Alberta, Canada.
With Romano wearing a Lorenzo gown and her groom clad in a Hugo Boss tuxedo, the couple’s intimate wedding ceremony was attended by around 50 guests who feasted on a four-course meal. The newlyweds also served their white chocolate wedding cake with raspberry filling.
Fairmont Banff holds a special place in Romano’s heart as she visited it when she was a child when she performed in “Sound of Music” with Marie Osmond. “It was such a magical feeling that stayed with me, so I wanted to recapture that on my wedding day,” she told People.
Romano, 29, who rose to fame as the goody-two-shoes sister of Shia LeBeouf’s character in Disney Channel’s “Even Stevens” and the voice of Kim Possible, and Rooney, 30, met in February 2011 at Columbia University, where they both studied. They got engaged that September during a vacation in Italy.
Meanwhile, Romano is finishing her degree at Columbia on Film and Women’s Leadership, while Rooney is working on his MFA in screenwriting at the American Film Institute.
