Vancouver, BC, Canada (4E Sports) – Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo took the morning skate with the team as they prepped to face the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He handled the majority of net time while Joacim Eriksson stood by the boards and could return Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.
“I’ve been skating for a few days,” he said. “Everything is progressing really well.”
Luongo would not elaborate on his injury, but said he was still not healthy enough to play against the Lightning.
He suffered a groin injury Dec. 22 against the Winnipeg Jets while trying to stop an Evander Kane shot.
