Ohio State gives Louisiana-Monroe one-sided hoops beating

Columbus, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Lenzelle Smith Jr. scored 17 points and LaQuinton Ross added 15 lead the Ohio State Buckeyes in a one-sided bashing of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 71-31 Friday at Value City Arena.

Amedeo Della Valle chipped in with 14 points for Ohio State.

Ohio State scored the first 12 points of the game before Louisiana-Monroe’s Tylor Ongwae hit a baseline drive at the 15:34 mark.

Enjoying a 41-20 lead at the break, Ohio State opened the second half with a 15-0 run.

Louisiana-Monroe ended its scoring drought for 9:50 when Chinedu Amajoyi hit two free throws at the 10:40 mark of the second half.

Jayon James led Louisiana-Monroe (3-5) with eight points. The visitors hit just 19 percent of their shots from the field (10 of 54) and 17 percent on 3-pointers (3 of 18).
