Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) – D.J. Augustin had 18 points and 10 assists to push the Chicago Bulls past the Cleveland Cavaliers, 100-84, at United Center.
Carlos Boozer pumped in 19 points hit while hitting 8 of 14 shots, rookie Tony Snell finished with 17 points including five 3-pointers, Taj Gibson scored 15 points and Joakim Noah grabbed 18 rebounds for the Bulls.
They also shot nearly 54 percent overall and were 10 of 15 on 3-pointers against a weak Cavs defense.
Boozer and Augustin both got off to strong starts as the Bulls built a 17-point halftime lead.
The Bulls led by 19 points early in the third but Andrew Bynum scored 9 points in an 18-8 Cavs run to cut the lead to 68-61 with 4:31 to go in the quarter.
But Snell hit two 3-pointers as the Bulls arrested the Cavs’ surge to push their lead 81-65.
The Cavs made another run in the fourth, cutting their deficit to 85-76 on Matthew Dellavedova’s 3.
Snell then hit to more 3-pointers as the Bulls pished back their lead to 98-82 with 4:07 left in the game.
Andrew Bynum had 19 points for the Cavaliers and Kyrie Irving had 14 points but just hit 5 out of 16.
