Clevland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Damian Lillard connected a 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left to lift the Portland Trail Blazers to a 119-116 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
It was one of Lillard’s career-high eight 3-pointers while scoring 36 points. LaMarcus Aldridge added 26 points while Wesley Mathews scored 19.
Aldridge connected from 14 feet to give the Blazers a 114-104 lead with just 2:15 remaining.
Kyrie Irving then erupted for nine points, including two 3-pointers, to lead the Cavs in a 10-2 blast and cut the lead to 116-114 with 33 seconds left.
After Aldridge missed a jumper, Cavs’ Anderson Varejao grabbed the rebound and scored on a layup via an Irving assist to tie the game with 7.1 seconds left.
Lillard then took the pass at mid-court, dribbled to the top of the key and buried the winning shot from about 26 feet out.
The Blazers (22-4) have the best record in the NBA and is 11-0 against the Eastern Conference. They have won five straight and are 12-2 on the road.
Irving and Dion Waiters led the Cavs with 25 points each.
