Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – As expected, No. 1 Florida State and No. 2 Auburn will face off in the final BCS Championship Game.

The Jimbo Fisher-coached Seminoles secured a place in the national championship that will be played Jan. 6 in Pasadena, California after beating Duke in the ACC title game.

The Tigers, for their part, earned a spot with a victory over Missouri, 59-42, in the SEC championship match.

Auburn also got some help from Michigan State, which defeated former No. 2 Ohio State for the Big Ten title.

Meanwhile, No. 3 Alabama will take on No. 11 Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl while No. 7 Ohio State and No. 12 Clemson will battle in the Orange Bowl.

The Fiesta Bowl will feature BCS newcomers No. 6 Baylor and No. 15 UCF while the Rose Bowl will have its traditional matchup of Big Ten and Pac-12 champions in No. 4 Michigan State and No. 5 Stanford.

The Tigers and Seminoles met 18 times between 1954 and 1990, with Auburn holding a 13-4-1 advantage but Florida State winning the highest-profile matchup, the 1989 Sugar Bowl meeting with both teams in the top seven.
