Auburn Hills, MI, United States (4E Sports) – LeBron James had 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to lead the Miami Heat in pounding the Detroit Pistons 110-95 Sunday at The Palace of Auburn Hills, thereby avenging an earlier loss.
The Pistons defeated the Heat 107-97 at Miami on Tuesday.
Ray Allen scored 18 points while Chris Bosh poured in 16 points for the Heat, which shot 56 percent from the field and 11 of 28 from 3-point range.
Miami took an early 16-5 lead, but the Pistons answered with a 14-5 blast capped by a Kyle Singler 3-point jumper to cut the lead to 21-19 with 2:42 remaining in the first.
The Heat began imposing its will on the Pistons in the third, eventually leading 91-70 before the final quarter.
It was still a 20-point lead for the Heat at 110-90 with just 3:09 remaining in the fourth before a jumper by Josh Smith and a 3-pointer by Jonas Jarebko settled the final tally.
Andre Drummond had 19 points and 14 rebounds while Brandon Jennings added 19 points to lead the Pistons.
