President Obama Delivers a Statement on the Passing of Nelson Mandela

From the White House Briefing Room, President Barack Obama delivered a statement on the passing of former South African President and anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela, calling him “a man who took history in his hands, and bent the arc of the moral universe toward justice.”

“We will not likely see the likes of Nelson Mandela again,” Obama said. “So it falls to us as best we can to forward the example that he set:  to make decisions guided not by hate, but by love; to never discount the difference that one person can make; to strive for a future that is worthy of his sacrifice.”

Back to the article at hand. I believe the media has portrayed Mr. Mandela as a saintly character and forgotten about the fact he was a terrorist and responsible for the murder of so many in South Africa. Just as racism against blacks is wrong. The current racism in South Africa against whites is just as wrong.

I look at things and see fair as fair, and there are two sides to every story. I believe that people are equals, regardless of color. I don’t believe that money should rule this country, but the people should. I believe that the extremest in the GOP are taking this country to hell in a basket. I believe everyone has a choice in how they live their lives, and some of the choices are just wrong and evil. You tell me.

But he completely cured the ills of South Africa and all is well. Especially in Zimbabwae, since the white farmers land was all taken they are now having to import food.

That kinda sounds like what we did to the American Indian, doesn’t it. Oh, I guess not. They were here first, whereas in Zimbabwae, I think the land was taken back, not taken.

You can always give your portion back. Are you part of the problem or part of the cure?

The other side(democrats) are just as evil. If you try to give everything to everyone in entitlements by borrowing and spending beyond your means, sooner or later you will be unable to pay back the debt. At that time you will really see just how far to “hell” their side is pushing this Country. I see most of what they are trying to do just as evil and history has shown that this path leads to destruction. Just look what happened to the Romans.
