Green Bay, WI, United States (4E Sports) – Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone would keep him out Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
There was hope that Rodgers would return this week after he was cleared to practice Thursday, but tests Tuesday showed he was not healed enough to play.
“Aaron Rodgers is not ready to go,” said Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
The Packers (5-6-1) went 0-4-1 and fell into third place in the NFC North after Rodgers was injured Nov. 4 against the Chicago Bears.
“He doesn’t really let it show to anybody else, but you know he’s frustrated and you know he wants to get out there,” said Matt Flynn will make his second straight start against the Falcons.
Flynn completed just 10 of 20 passes for 139 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Packers’ 40-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
