Oakland, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Klay Thompson made five 3-pointers to ignite Golden State Warrior’s 3-point onslaught in topping the Toronto Raptors 112-103 Tuesday night at Oracle Arena.
He finished with 22 points in a 6-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc and dished out seven assists.
Stephon Curry had a game high 27 points, 10 assists and five steals, Harrison Barnes had 19 points and two steals while David Lee added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.
The Raptors started hot against a sloppy Warriors side to take a huge 36-19 lead after the first quarter.
Still leading by 17 at 65-48 after the second quarter, the Raptors opened up the third with a 10-0 run to drive their lead to 75-48 with 9:20 left in the quarter.
The Warriors trimmed the gap to 88-70 heading into the fourth after Thompson’s 3-pointer from 26 feet.
Thompson hit added another 3-pointer, this time from 24 feet, to start the fourth.
The Warriors totaled eight 3s over the final 12 minutes, the last coming from Harrison Barnes with 47.2 seconds remaining to give the Warriors a 109-103 lead.
DeMar DeRozan had 26 points to pace the Raptors while Kyle Lowry added 20 points and nine assists.
