Columbia, SC, United States (4E Sports) – South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Connor Shaw is still suffering from a virus and is questionable for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State.
Coach Steve Spurrier said that Shaw and did not practice Monday or Tuesday.
An injured and sick Connor Shaw completed 20-of-29 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Gamecocks to a 27-24 double overtime comeback victory Saturday at Missouri.
The then-undefeated Missouri held a 17-0 lead on the Gamecocks when Shaw entered midway through the third quarter .
Senior quarterback and teammate T.J. Holloman called Shaw “Superman” for his performance.
Meaning Dylan Thompson could get the starting nod once again in place of Shaw.
With the win at Missouri, the Gamecocks are now in a great position to contend for the SEC East title and a ticket to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.
The Gamecocks (4-2) are right behind the Tigers (3-1) with only Mississippi State and Florida left on the schedule.
