Tuscaloosa, AL, United States (4E Sports) – T.J. Yeldon scored on three 1-yard runs as Alabama Crimson Tide cruised to a 45-10 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Quarterback AJ McCarron completed 19 of 27 passes for 275 yards and two first-half touchdowns, a 54-yard to Amari Cooper and a 22-yarder to Kevin Norwood for the Tide.
Kenyan Drake ran for 89 yards on 14 carries while Yeldon ran 15 times for 72 yards. Kevin Norwood caught six passes for 112 yards.
The Tide (8-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) have now outscored their last six opponents 246-26.
They raced to 35-0 in the first half and had a string of 104 unanswered points before Rajoin Neal’s 43-yard run set up Michael Palardy’s 37-yard field goal ended the streak.
Neal’s 3-yard rush early in the fourth quarter became the first touchdown the Tide had allowed at Bryant-Denny Stadium this season.
Vols coach Butch Jones turned to freshman quarterback Josh Dobbs to replace a struggling Justin Worley in the second half.
Worley was 8-of-15 passing for 120 yards and was intercepted twice.
Dobbs completed 5 of 12 passes for 75 yards, ran three times for 19 yards.
Freshman Marquez North gained 87 yards on four catches while Neal ran for 70 yards on 13 carries.
