MILESBURG – Paving work will get under way today on Interstate 80 eastbound in Centre County. The work zone encompasses a quarter-mile section of I-80 just before Exit 158 (Milesburg).
Work will begin in the left (passing) lane to mill the existing wearing surface before crews patch and pave the roadway. By Friday, work is expected to shift to the right (travel) lane for an additional five days.
Motorists should expect lane closures in this area and some short delays.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the contractor on this roadway repair work.
PennDOT reminds drivers to obey posted speed limits and use caution through all work zones.
