London, England, United Kingdom (4E Sports) – Winger Andros Townsend will extend his stay with Tottenham Hotspur after signing a new four-year contract.
Townsend, 22, had two impressive displays for England, scoring in their 4-1 win against Montenegro last week and in their 2-0 victory over Poland.
He also scored on his Spurs debut against Charlton in 2011.
The England international was sent out on loan to Queens Park Rangers last season where he impressed, scoring twice in 12 appearances.
He has also made a breakthrough in the first team this season, making eight Premier League appearances so far.
“We’re very proud of what he has done,” said Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas. “We have seen him play with so much confidence and determination, he’s really set his place in the team, for Tottenham and for his country.”
