Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Weeks after Miley Cyrus’ twerking spree at the MTV Video Music Awards, Sir Paul McCartney has spoken out his mind on the matter and said that it “wasn’t explicit at all.”
First, McCartney said he watched the video “as an experiment to check.” He added, “But you look at it and you say, ‘what’s everyone shouting about?’”
Cyrus’ performance, which included her wearing a flesh colored latex lingerie, twerking to co-performer Robin Thicke, rubbing a foam finger on her body while sticking her tongue out most of the time, was rather ill-received by the public, save for a handful of support from a handful of people.
The former Beatles member said about the performance, “I think it was only mildly shocking … it wasn’t explicit at all.”
Meanwhile, McCArtney is promoting his 16th solo album, “New.” About this new feat, he told Sky News, “It’s not difficult to come up with something new, but to come up with something new which is good is difficult because you’re stacking them against the stuff you’ve done – but you’ve got to just forget that.”
“I love writing songs so I just have to say ‘don’t even try to better the old ones, just get on with it,’” he added.
