Taipei, Taiwan (4E Sports) – Local hero Jeremy Lin added 17 points before 13,686 Taiwanese fans as teammate James Harden led the Houston Rockets in their 107-98 pre-season victory over the Indiana Pacers Sunday.
The Rockets hit 15 3-pointers and had seven players score in double figures.
After a close first quarter, Houston pulled away to lead by 15 points at halftime. Indiana cut the lead to two before fading in the final quarter.
Rockets coach Kevin McHale said that Lin has been working hard to cope with the pressure as one of the most closely watched NBA players in Asia.
“He puts so much pressure on himself,” McHale said. “There’s an entire half of the world that seems to be pulling for him.”
Paul George’s 19 points led the Pacers.
George Hill added 17, Danny Granger had 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and C.J. Watson had 14 points off the bench on 4-for-5 shooting.
Rockets defeated the Indiana Pacers for the second straight game in three days after a 116-96 in Manila, Philippines.
